WOMEN LEADING WOMEN: Past, Present, and the Future

“Women’s Ministry is the act of women ministering to other women.” – Gloria Furman

What is the Women’s Ministry Council?

The idea for the Women’s Ministry Council began with two women having coffee after a women’s ministry meeting. After pondering questions about increasing the attendance of younger women, group discounts, costs of bible study materials, and general business; these words were spoken:

“It would be great if we could meet with other Women’s Ministry leaders & share ideas and materials.”

A small statement that would remain a constant in the back of our minds. A comment said casually, but was actually a call to action. A seed had been planted. Then, God began to tend to that seed until it sprouted. In 2013, The Women’s Ministry Council held it’s first meeting.

Our mission is to engage, encourage, and equip women for leadership in the church and community; using the gifts the Lord has given her to advance the Kingdom.

Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!  Luke 1:4

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
